The Gesher Century Challenge is in conjunction with the North Shore Kiwanis Club of Long Island’s annual Nassau to Suffolk Bicycle Challenge.

On the day of the event, Gesher will have its own meeting area near the official event tent. There will be breakfast food on site. At the official event tent there will be a Gesher line to receive cue sheets, bracelets, and other event paraphernalia as well as to sign the waiver.
As we get closer to the event we will keep you updated about Gesher start times, and other important information.
N2SBC provides fully marked routes, and full SAG until 4pm.
In case of a rainout every registered Gesher rider will receive a one-time complimentary spin class at AVID Fitness.
The Bicycle Challenge is a 66, 56 and 25 mile Ride with great water views of the Long Island Sound, challenging hills and friendly people.
Ride Starts and Ends at Tappen Beach.

Take L.I.E. (495) to exit 39-north Glen Cove road. Cross over Northern Blvd. Go 3 lights; Make a left at third light. (Back Road). Go under Railroad Bridge make a right onto Glen Cove Ave. Make left onto Scudders Lane at light. Stay on Scudders all the way, road will turn sharply to right follow to beach on left side. Harry Tappen Beach, Sea Cliff.
The Gesher Century Challenge is in conjunction with the Huntington Bicycle club of Long Island’s annual Gold Coast Tour.
You do not need to register with the HBC, but you will receive a registration confirmation from them soon after you register here.

This pleasant flat route meanders through Greenlawn, East Northport and Elwood for 12.9 miles (We dare not say 13!). A ride leader will be available to guide those who are ready to start at 9:00 am. Novice cyclists will learn the rules of the road for group riding and the use of cue sheets and road markings to follow a tour route.
A family-friendly excursion (without steep hills) exploring the scenic vistas of Huntington and vicinity.
You will also enjoy the harbors and hills. Peddle though a string of charming and historic villages – Laurel Hollow, Oyster Bay, Locust Valley, Roslyn, Old Westbury, Brookville and others.
Harbors, hills, vintage villages, views of Oyster Bay Harbor & Mill Neck Bay & the affluent communities along the way, show you why Long Island’s North shore is call the “Gold Coast”.
Even experienced century riders find this one a challenge. Your tour includes all the beautiful sight of the other tours plus 35 more hilly miles!
All routes begin rain or shine at Harborfields High School in Greenlawn.
Long Island Expressway to Northern State Parkway to Deer Park Ave (Rte 231)
north. Bear left at the fork and continue for 3.5 miles. Turn right on Pulaski Road;
proceed 1.5 miles to Harborfields High School. Park only in designated areas.
Take the LIRR, Port Jefferson branch, to the Greenlawn Station. Go east on Gates St to the end (0.2 miles).
ANSI or SNELL approved helmets are required. Cycling safety & strict adherence to all cycling rules of the road are imperative.
